Masterplan of Thessaloniki Port

Within the framework of the Thessaloniki Master Plan, a comprehensive proposal was developed focusing on building coefficients, land use allocations, and the strategic regeneration of the coastal zone. Particular emphasis was placed on the functional zoning of port areas, with a clear distinction established between commercial port operations and urban port-related uses. The planning framework for the proposed cruise home port was also formulated, aiming to integrate tourism infrastructure with broader urban and economic objectives. The approach promoted balanced zoning principles, supporting sustainable coastal development while reinforcing Thessaloniki’s role as a regional maritime and metropolitan hub.
